Absence: A written excuse must accompany students on their return to school within 3 days after an absence. If a student is absent from school for 3 days with no communication from a parent or guardian. the office will call the student's home. School attendance is compulsory for all children between the ages of seven and seventeen in the state of Nevada. if a child who is 5 or 6 years of age and enrolled in a public school they are subject to the same attendance regulations as a child between 7-17 years of age It is the parents' responsibility to see that regular attendance is maintained. A student is declared a habitual truant after three unapproved absences.
Tardies: Student arriving at school after 9:00 am must report to the office for a tardy slip. Late students will not be admitted to class without a tardy slip. Student tardiness is a serious disruption to the educational process. Tardiness interferes with time to teach and disrupts on the educational rights of other students.
Early Dismissal: Students are NEVER allowed to leave the school campus without an authorized adult present to pick them up. If it is necessary to remove your child from school before the end of the day, due to a doctor's appointment, etc., please come to sign him/her out of school early. The office will call your child out of class via the intercom system upon your arrival at school. Please do not go to the classroom.
ENROLLMENT AND WITHDRAWALS Students must be enrolled through the school office before thy can attend classes. If they are enrolling from another Clark County School, a transfer form is required to enroll the child. Parents of kindergarten children and students new to the Clark County School District must present verification of birth date, two proofs of address and immunization at the time of registration. The school also requires a phone number where parents can be reached during an emergency. When you are planning to withdrawal a child, the office must have one-day's notice to prepare record.
